Swindon ACT Launches Adult Drama Classes

Weekly acting classes starting in September

Swindon ACT (Adult Community Theatre) is set to make weekly drama classes available to adults in Swindon.

The weekly classes are due to start in September at Commonweal School, and have already attracted interest from local business people, teachers and housewives, wanting to build confidence and do something a little different.

“It has always struck me that there is an abundance of drama classes for children and professional actors, but very little on offer for regular people over the age of 18.” said Luke Marquez, the founder of Swindon ACT and local Drama Teacher.

“There are so many benefits to gain from learning acting skills that can easily be applied to everyday life, so I thought it would be a great idea to launch beginner adult drama classes, with the aim of making the benefits of drama training accessible to everyone.

“So far, the interest in classes has been very good, and in addition to receiving first-class training, we hope the classes will also be an excellent way of meeting and working with new people from all walks of life.”

As well as beginner classes, Swindon ACT also provides weekly advanced classes for keen amateurs looking to build on their existing acting skills, one-to-one tuition for students aged 16+, and corporate workshops for businesses.
